Dear freight Paul Team,
Please advise can custom clearance be done without actual weighting slip / Verified Gross Mass in case of LCL FOB terms.
Shipper saying they didn’t do the weight at china custom. And we received short shipment at destination port .
Your prompt and positive response with references will be highly appreciable.
Hi Mr Ali Kazmi
There is no need to do VGM by shipper for LCL shipments. The consolidator will verify the weight and make the right loading plan. So sure Customs clearance can be done without VGM.

Hi Artika
You mean LCL shipping ? It depends. Normally 3-7 days needed for normal Customs inspection. But if it comes to dangerous cargo or other serious problem like hiding declaration, then one month is not enough. So you’d better learn the reason why Customs hold your cargo.
Best Regards
Paul
